Player Information:

Alvin Rouse is a young professional football player who currently plays goalkeeper for the Dungannon Swifts, a member of Northern Ireland’s top league, the Premiership.  Rouse has played for several Irish and Barbados teams, and he continues to return to his homeland when called up to the Bajan Pride, the Barbados National Team.  His first appearances with the Pride came in 2005, when he was a leading player for the Barbados Defence Force squad.  He was not called the next year, but since then has regularly been a member of the Pride, from 2007 to the present.  Rouse has accumulated ten caps in that time, and he had quite a roller coaster ride in June of 2008, when he was the goalkeeper for the entire length of a 0-8 loss to the United States, and followed that disaster with a 0-1 loss that nearly served as the biggest shocker of the year.

After learning the game in the schools of Barbados, Rouse joined the military.  His athleticism earned him a place on the national military team, the Barbados Defence Force from 2002 to 2003.
